A: The Shiurim are focused on Mitzvas Onah, but address general Shalom Bayis as well, as the two cannot be separated. Q: Does Rabbi Silver give the Mitzvas Habayis Shiurim live?
Rav Yitzchok Isaac Silver was born and raised in London. He learned in Gateshead Yeshivah, under Rav Leib Gurwicz zt”l, and yibl”ch Rav Avrohom Gurwicz shlit”a, followed by a few years at Yeshivas Brisk in Yerushalayim. He currently lives in Ramot, and has been learning in Mir Yerushalayim for over 30 years.
Rabbi Silver is an outstanding Talmid Chacham and has authored many bestselling Seforim including Mishpetei Hashalom, on the Halachos of Bein Adam Lchaveiro, and Emes Knei on the Halachos of Emes and Sheker, which have been Translated into English under the title The Code of Jewish Conduct. Additionally, Rabbi Silver has written the ספר שערי משפט a two volume work on Choshen Mishpat, which was also translated into English under the title Money in Halachah, ספר בנין בית נאמן on Hilchos Niddah, and ספר אין עוד מלבדו on the Halachos and Hashkafos of supernatural Kochos.
After many years of teaching Chassanim and guiding Yungeleit through challenges in Shalom Bayis and Mitzvas Onah, Rabbi Silver saw a need for a Sefer clarifying the correct Halachos and Hashkafos on unity in marriage. He authored the ספר יסודות הבית וקדושתו which soon became an international bestseller. Rav Elyashiv zt”l encouraged R’ Silver to give Shiurim on this topic publicly. Rav Shteinman zt”l reviewed the notes of the shiurim, revising and organizing them, instructing how they should be presented down to the minute details. Rav Shteinman ztz”l held the Shiurim in high regard and told R’ Yitzchok that he should deliver the Shiurim to any community where there will be a To’eles.
